Customer Welding Sample Testing at JISI Robotics: Exploring Collaborative Robot Welding Solutions

Real Workpieces. Practical Testing. Customized Welding Automation.

At JISI Robotics, we understand that every manufacturing project has its own welding requirements. Before selecting an automation solution, it is important to understand the customer’s actual workpieces, welding processes, and production expectations.

Recently, we welcomed a customer to our facility for an on-site welding sample testing session. The customer worked alongside our technical team to examine the workpieces and explore their application with our collaborative robotic welding equipment.

This hands-on approach allows us to communicate directly with customers and better understand their specific manufacturing needs.

On-Site Customer Welding Sample Testing During the sample testing session, the customer and our technical personnel gathered around a robotic welding workstation to examine the workpieces and discuss the welding application.

The setup included a collaborative robotic arm, a welding torch, and a metal welding table with various steel components and fixtures.

By working with actual customer samples, our engineering team can better understand the workpiece structure and discuss the requirements for robotic welding.

Customer sample testing is an important part of evaluating customized welding automation solutions. It provides an opportunity to explore how the equipment may be configured for different workpieces and production environments.

Why Customer Sample Testing Matters in Robotic Welding For manufacturers considering robotic welding automation, actual workpieces provide valuable information that drawings and product specifications alone may not fully capture.

During the evaluation of a welding application, several practical factors need to be considered.

  1. Workpiece Structure and Welding Requirements

Different workpiece shapes, joint types, and welding positions may require different robotic configurations. Examining physical samples helps the technical team understand these requirements.

  1. Welding Torch Accessibility

The robot’s working range and welding torch orientation need to be considered according to the structure of the workpiece and the location of the welds.

  1. Workpiece Positioning and Fixturing

Suitable fixtures help maintain workpiece positioning during welding. Fixture design is therefore an important part of developing a practical automation solution.

  1. Welding Process Evaluation

Welding parameters, process requirements, and the characteristics of the workpiece need to be evaluated before a final production solution is determined.

  1. Customized Automation Planning

Sample testing and technical discussions provide useful information for selecting equipment and planning a welding workstation that matches the customer’s production needs.

Collaborative Robotic Welding for Flexible Manufacturing JISI Robotics focuses on intelligent robotic automation solutions, including collaborative welding robot units, teach-free welding systems, and customized robotic applications.

Collaborative robotic welding offers a flexible approach for manufacturers working with different workpieces and changing production requirements.

Depending on the application, a collaborative welding workstation can be configured with appropriate fixtures, welding equipment, and supporting automation components.

Our goal is to develop practical robotic welding solutions that match the customer’s manufacturing process, rather than relying on a single standard configuration for every project.

Through on-site sample testing and technical communication, we can better understand the application before proceeding with equipment selection and solution development.

Working Together to Explore the Right Welding Solution Direct communication between customers and engineers is an important part of our project development process.

During customer sample testing, our technical team can discuss the workpiece characteristics, welding requirements, and possible automation configurations.

This collaborative approach helps customers gain a clearer understanding of robotic welding equipment while providing our engineers with valuable information about their production needs.

We appreciate the opportunity to work with our customer during this on-site sample testing session.

JISI Robotics will continue supporting manufacturers with intelligent welding equipment, customized automation solutions, and practical engineering expertise.
